What the Sound Design Program is not…
An education in music composition –the course is aligned to sound design and not explicitly music composition for visual media. The course will cover the intersection of sound design with music composition for visual media as an awareness of conjoined efforts, and students will choose and integrate pre-recorded music as part of the course
An education in Visual Media creation –in a one-year course focus is on the sound design craft; therefore pre-produced visual media is provided for the student. Methods of professional visual production are covered in theory, but the actual production including skills and tools are not. Students with these abilities are at some advantage
