Applicant Profiles:
The Sound Design & Technology program is designed for people that are interested in becoming involved in audio work for the film, animation, and/or video game industry. To be eligible, applicants should have a basic background in audio production & engineering, midi, and recording. For beginners that do not have any experience in sound we recommend completing the Desktop Music Production program and then apply for the Sound Design & Technology program. This Sound Design program includes courses to understand the visual and narrative aspects of these visual mediums, to discover and complete the end to end workflow of Sound Design and master the production processes of sound design with learned skills such as advanced recording techniques for sound effects and dialog, creative synthesis techniques, advanced digital sound processing. The Sound Design program provides courses on the post-production processes and skills of interactive audio integration for gaming, A/V synchronization, music licensing, placement and editing, and mixing and mastering your sound design creations.
