Effective Teaching

Stylus College's teaching is designed to foster students' learning, their capability to complete work, and their development as a whole person. Teaching draws on professional and disciplinary expertise of staff and is continually revitalized by consultancy, or professional practice.

As professionals, School teachers need to be appropriate role models and exhibit to their students a commitment to education values, to life long learning, to professional and personal growth through critical reflection and self-evaluation, and to a responsible and ethical practice of their profession.
Students expect of and value in their teachers competence in the subject areas they teach; effective communication of their knowledge and experience; interest and enthusiasm for their subject; concern and respect for students as persons, and commitment to facilitating learning for each individual student.

Instructor Profiles

Instructors at Stylus College are amongst some of the most recognized and well-qualified industry professionals who have achieved educational excellence from respected Canadian and American and European universities and post-secondary institutes. Their academic degrees range from B.A's and B.Sc's to M.A, M.F.A, to Ph.D. and were received from such highly-ranked post-secondary institues such as Berklee College of Music, University of British Columbia, University of Manitoba, Simon Fraser University, University of Maastricht, Cornish College, Trebas Institute and Stylus College of Music & Sound Technology.
